about

This album was written during the winter of 2017, a very turbulent time in my life. I was in the process of writing a new album when lots of my equipment began to break down on me; during the recording process, the broken equipment caused lots of unintended artefacts that later became the basis for this album. The equipment failure seemed to echo many of the personal issues I was having in my own life at the time. Relationships, housing, jobs amongst other things all seemed to be falling apart and with the added pressure of core equipment failing on me I began to reflect on what it means for something to be broken, and whether or not broken can be fixed.
